see what comes in!!!!! Stancil Enterprises, Inc. was established in 1989, specializing in used single engine aircraft sales. Its Founder, Joe Stancil, Jr. of Placerville, California became one of the earliest directors of the International 180/185 Club back in 1977. He remains the only director for the State of California. Born in 1948, Joe has been married to Doralee since 1985, who is also a pilot holding a SEL and SES rating. Joe and Doralee used to own a Toyota Dealership in town which they sold in 1994. Currently, they both work together at Stancil Enterprises, Inc. dba Skywagons.com. Joe got his first ride in a small airplane when he was 15. He was a fishing guide at 100 Mile House, BC and rode in a 1939 Howard DGA 15 on floats. He got a pilots license in 1974 and his first airplane was a 1955 C170B. He sold it in 1977 and bought a bight yellow 55-C180. After flying it for 7 years, he wanted long fuel and center stack radios so he bought a 78 C185 that he still owns. After Joe and Doralee both got their float ratings, they put their "other" C185 (1976) on EDO 2960's. It currently resides on Fire Lake in Eagle River Alaska where they enjoy vacationing several times a year. |
